Arrival in Galapagos. Upon arrival in Baltra, a guide will be waiting for us out of the airport of Baltra to receive us and go on our first visit. On the way to the town of Puerto Ayora, we will visit THE HIGHLANDS AND THE LAVA TUNNELS of Santa Cruz, to enjoy the wonderful and very famous giant tortoises in their natural habitat, these prehistoric-looking animals stretch their necks to eat and be photographed by our visitors in the Archipelago. At the same time, meeting these giants is one of the highest expectations for passengers. The dense vegetation in this forest, which includes orchids, daisies, and bromeliads, also makes it the habitat of several endemic land birds, including Darwin’s finches, Galapagos hawks, short-eared owls, yellow warblers, rails, Galapagos, Vermilion Flycatchers, and Paint-billed Crakes. Navigable tours are subject to availability. They could be Bartholomew, Plazas, North Seymour, Santa Fe, or Floreana.

Bartholomew. Very early in the morning, we will take the transport to go to the ITABACA CANAL to take our yacht. We will have wonderful navigation of approximately two and a half hours to Bartholomew Island. Breakfast on board. In this beautiful place with an enchanted landscape, we will take a walk through approximately 300 wooden stairs. During the walk, we will be able to observe lava cacti and learn about the geology and volcanology of this area. Once we reach the top, we can enjoy the beautiful view of Pinnacle Rock and the two beautiful crescent-shaped beaches with golden sand mixed with the volcanic landscape. Then, we will make a decent to have another adventure in the bay. We will swim and snorkel with penguins, sea turtles, white-tip reef sharks, and other tropical fish. You can also relax and enjoy yourself on the volcanic sand beach. Lunch on board. Return to Puerto Ayora. Accommodation. (Santa Cruz).

Our first visit is to the CHARLES DARWIN STATION, where we will go to the TORTOISE BREEDING CENTER and can observe the different species of tortoises on the other islands. The Charles Darwin research station is the operational center of the Charles Darwin Foundation. Their mission is to provide knowledge and assistance through scientific research and other actions to guarantee the conservation of biodiversity and the environment in the Archipelago of Galapagos.
After lunch, in the afternoon we will visit TORTUGA BAY BEACH. Playa Tortuga Bay or Bahia Tortuga, rounds out the World’s Top Ten Beaches. On the way there, you will walk for about 2.5 km through an arid zone, giant cacti forest, yellow flowers, and Galapagos flora. You will enjoy the song of many land birds and the more you get closer to the bay, the more you can hear the movements of the waves. There are two beautiful environments here. One first bay is open and wide and its sea has strong waves, perfect for Surfers. Many turtles come to this place during their nesting season and that is why the name “Bahia Tortuga”. The second bay, which is at the very end of the first, is ideal for relaxing and swimming. It is a perfect and wild combination of giant cactus and mangroves on the shore of the sea. After breakfast, we will be transferred to the Puerto Ayora dock to take the speedboat to Isabela Island. This navigation will take us about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Once we arrive at this beautiful and peaceful island “Isabela”, we will go to the hotel to check in. Isabela, is a small port town, with sandy streets, some local restaurants, small hotels, and nice people. Our first visit will be to LOS TUNELES, also known as “Cabo Rosa”. It is the most spectacular place to snorkel on Isabela Island due to its crystal clear and shallow waters, a true marine sanctuary. The adventure begins in Puerto Villamil, where you will take a boat ride for approximately 45 minutes to our first stop in open sea, around Roca Unión. This site is home to blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, brown pelicans, penguins, zayapas, and iguanas that can be seen up close to the boat. Then we will make a second stop to walk on these beautiful lava formations to catch with our eyes the sea lions resting on the rocks or playing through the lava tunnels. We can also see cacti that have been adapted to this type of lava formation. Our last and wonderful stop will be to snorkel in open water. We will enter a wonderful underwater world where we can swim with white-tip sharks, manta rays, penguins, sea lions, sea turtles, seahorses, lobsters, sea snakes, among many other tropical species. After breakfast, our guide will pick us up at the hotel to take us on our first adventure of the day “VOLCÁN SIERRA NEGRA “. Sierra Negra is one of the most beautiful and impressive volcanoes in the Galapagos Islands. This volcano has the largest caldera of all the Galapagos volcanoes and is also considered the second-largest caldera in the world. It measures 10 km from north to south and 9 km from east to west. It is one of the most active volcanoes in the Galapagos with the most recent historical eruption on June 26, 2018. Visits to Sierra Negra require a 40-minute drive from Puerto Villamil followed by another 45-minute walk. The morphology of Sierra Negra is like a bowl. This is a very special place for geology lovers. Return to Puerto Villamil for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit CONCHA PERLA. This place is a natural pool with calm and clear seawater, ideal for swimming and snorkeling with tropical fish, marine iguanas, sea lions, sea turtles, and penguins. You can reach this place with a short walk along a wooden path surrounded by wonderful mangroves. Return to Puerto Villamil. Accommodation. (Isabela).

This is your last day with us and we hope you enjoyed your trip to the Enchanted Islands. Transfer very early in the morning to the port of Puerto Villamil, to make the trip of approximately two and a half hours to Puerto Ayora. Arrival, transfer to Baltra airport, and assistance to take your flight back. Depending on the time, you will have your breakfast in Puerto Ayora or a box lunch breakfast.
